Meet Our Providers

Karly Mitchell, LPCC-S

Hi, I'm Karly, and I'm a huge believer that we can all use some extra support sometimes. Maybe you're trying to understand why you respond to things the way you do, maybe you're wanting to make some healthy changes and don't know where to start, or maybe you're up against a lot and just need someone to listen.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I strive to provide a warm and encouraging space and have experience dealing with many different issues: depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, relationship problems, substance abuse, trauma, bullying, grief, and life changes. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I currently work with kids, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

My favorite activities when I'm not at work are spending time with my family and friends, climbing, running, playing board games, traveling, and trying new restaurants. I love the water and the mountains, attending sporting events, making art, and reading. I love what I do and will never take for granted the trust I've been given each and every day by my clients!

Welcome!

I have been seeing patients in a variety of settings in mental healthcare since 2013 with a focus on individual therapy with adolescents, and adults. I have specialized interest and training in working with borderline personality disorder, those engaging in self-harming behaviors or having suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, and sexual trauma and domestic violence using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in particular. I have extensive experience with secondary and vicarious trauma in the first responder and veteran population, psychogenic nonepileptic seizures, anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, and mood disorders including depression and bipolar. I look forward to helping you explore more about yourself and your past and work to improve your present and future.
